The invisible handshake from the past...

What sets Mentell apart from other peer-to-peer support settings is the emphasis placed on mentorship throughout your development as a facilitator. We could send you a weekend crash course or give you a couple of workshops on holding space. Ultimately, the only way we can guarantee our teachings and wisdom is passed down correctly is through the same way our ancestors did it for thousands of years - mentorship and feedback.
Hear Andy (Mentell Co-Founder) explain the Mentorship model in more detail.
The Feedback Circle
'Feedback is like building muscle - you must digest the protein to grow.' - Matt, Mentell Facilitator.
At the end of every circle, the shadow, support and lead facilitators open up a short and to-the-point feedback circle to highlight any observable behaviour that positively or negatively impacted the 7 principles or circle hygiene (see handbook).
As a shadow facilitator, your primary role is to observe and learn. However, that doesn't stop you from participating in the feedback circle. We use the term Beginners Mind, which means every facilitator welcomes feedback no matter how inexperienced or experienced the sender of that feedback might be.
TO DO - Observe how the 7 principles work in a circle and give feedback to your mentor on how the lead facilitator's actions upheld or did not uphold the 7 principles. Remember - All Feedback is welcome!
