One is that the circle allows members to feel at ease quickly while still holding strong professional standards/boundaries to ensure men feel safe to unpack their trauma. The structure of the circle is the glue that holds it all together. All good facilitators will tell you, 'It's the circle that does the work' - that statement points to an underlying truth in that a highly skilled facilitator without the structure produces a poor circle experience compared to a less skilled facilitator following the same repeatable structure - Process beats Personality.
