MOT for the mind

You wouldn't bat an eyelid at taking a car into the garage for an MOT but taking your own mind might be a foreign concept to most men. This article will hopefully dispel a few myths about why our Tuesday supervision is one of the most critical safeguards the charity has in place to maintain your mental and emotional well-being.

What we hear in circle doesn't always stay in circle

Difficult, traumatic and sometimes retrigging shares can leave an imprint on us as facilitators. Sometimes what we think is 'fine' can, over time, without the proper checks, present as burnout/ numbness or depletion in energy - All the clear signs of unchecked wear and tear!

Tuesday supervision is a time and a place to connect with other facilitators in a space designed to help you offload anything that carries over from your circle experiences. It's a space to learn from others and share what's worked or not worked for you, held by our professional - Chris Mullin (Facilitator Developer).  It's a free drop-in service for all Mentell and Mentell Affiliate facilitators; join for 5 minutes or stay for the entire hour - use it in whatever way works best for you.

Watch the video below from Pete ( Mentell Lead facilitator) on how the Tuesday supervision helps him
